Great Drills Fungo Baseball

While we were filming the Great Drills baseball segment we had an idea of having a pitcher hit a fungo pitch off the mound and see if a batter could actually hit it. Former Dodger Coach Mark Cresse takes his fungo bat to the mound and Laguna Beach High School Baseball Coach Jeff Sears takes him yard!

Billy Barty on the Original Dancing wth the Stars

So one of my business partners, Braden Barty, uploaded on youtube a really fun video of his Dad Billy Barty doing some ballroom dancing. It is very entertaining and made me think that this was the original Dancing with the Stars concept. You can see it at this link

I was also watching the TV Land awards the other night and they gave a special award to Sid and Marty Kroft for their shows. I thought I saw Billy Barty in one of the clips and it was him, on the Dr. Shrinker show. Will Ferrell also promoted the new movie Land of the Lost which was created by Sid and Marty Kroft.

That is it for today!

Great Drills the I-Tunes of instructional videos

I created a website that is turning into a busines with very little effort. I started http://www.greatdrills.com/ with the thought that I could get the rights to some Sports Instructional DVD content, break it down by chapter and sell it instantly. Kind of like what I Tunes does with a CD, they break it down by song and sell them individually.

Well I currently have Magic Johnson's Basketball Fundamentals on the site. They sell the DVD package for $60 but I thought that was a lot and then you have to watch 3 hours worth of instruction to find the specific drills you needed. I also added a feature to Great Drills that gives you a print out of what you just watched along with snap shots of the drills. You can watch a DVD on your TV or online at your computer but then you have to remember what you saw in order to practice it outside or on a basketball court. Then we added a community element to it so if you have questions you can ask them and get an answer...not from Magic Johnson but it will be from a High School coach who knows basketball.

After I got the rights to Magic Johnson I added John Cena's original training videos to GreatDrills.com It is really good instruction if you want to be a wrestler or just see the behind the scenes of how they perform all those moves without hurting each other...okay it hurts to get slammed on the mat but seeing them go from rope to rope and hitting each other is really an art. It is only $5 for a 30 minute segment and like I Tunes, you get it instantly. We also have printouts of each lesson so you can show your friends or take it to wrestling training.

Recently I added the YRG Workout by Diamond Dallas Page. It is yoga based but before you get the wrong idea there is no "reach your hands to the heavens and let the sun shine down on you" chants. This was created by former WcW Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page who was a guy who wouldn't be caught dead doing yoga. But he realized in order to make his body flexible he had to make his mind flexible. It is a really good, fun upbeat workout that will make you sweat. You can do it at home in 20 minutes without any other equipment. Again, this is online and has printouts if you want to study the positions a little closer.

There are a lot of free samples at http://www.greatdrills.com/ so check it out and let me know what you think. I am always looking for other great content in other sports to feel free to email me if you have any ideas. Thanks for reading this!
